Six Years

A few couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite couples that stops into Midwest Photo Exchange, Steve & Kyle Muza. These folks are talented, hard-working cinematographers that have a soft spot for traditional photographic processes. In addition to their combined decade of efforts at Little Tree Studios, they've just recently entered into a new venture, Rooted Content. At rooted, Steve & Kyle will help you create incredibly high-end, photo and video pieces to help your brand. But don't take my word for it, here's what they were able to do same-day with a lot of location shooting:

Large format is the type of hobby that pulls you in and takes you down the rabbit hole. Mat Marrash tries to explain why this hobby, unlike so many others, has stuck with him for six years. This was shot on the new Canon 1DX mkII and mastered in 4K. It was the first real world shoot just a day after I received the camera to put it thorough its paces filming in a range of scenarios. The weather sealing helped since we encountered rain while in Hocking Hills and 90% of the video was shot using the new dual pixel autofocus. All shot in neutral color profile with contrast all the way down.

BIG Thanks again to Kyle & Steve for waking up early, slogging through a rainy morning in Hocking Hills, and putting together a great little promo about why I shoot large format
