Instant film was once the only way to proof a photograph. After Polaroid discontinued their instant films in 2009, there was a massive shift of thinking to the instant photo as a standalone piece of art. These portraits were made on heavily expired 8x10” Polaroid instant films that have a quality and level of imperfection all their own.
